It would appear that I’m working on another burning man project. Last night I drilled the first four holes of the first test to see how glass reacts to being on fire. The test went amazingly well, I was not attacked by red hot sharp shrapnel bits in the least!

I knew it’d look pretty, but oh man, it’s like a whole new thing! It’s so gorgeous.

Borosilicate for the win!

P.S. yes, the fire in glass was very pretty. Well done.

That’s exactly the first thing that popped into my head too. That, and looking at the pictures I think either:

    1. From a distance, the glass would be invisible, so that the flames will just be floating in air.
    2. Or, the glass will reflect/refract the light, and so more of it will be visible, compared to using opaque pipes.
