hmmmm…
Posted by nicoles on July 11th, 2003 filed in UncategorizedYesterday was pretty awesome.
I woke up and went to a doctors appointment to check up on my stomach, and it seems everything is pretty normal, and should be fine in a few days, which is certaintly good, then I went to best buy and picked up the frou frou cd, and it is awesome. After that I headed to Fry’s electronics, and randomly started up conversation with an employee working in the videogames section ^^ We exchanged aim nicks and stuff, and I hope she contacts me ^^ Then it was off to Sunnyvale Golfland, to try out beatmania IIDX 9th style… yikes, they ruined IIDX… it feels like I’m playing on a totally different track than the game, like it just feels weird… so bizzare… I may play it some more to see if I can get used to it though, as it is only 50cents a play due to a bug in the game.
Then! met
nopar and
gd-kun for Kaz, CD buying, and random-running-into-people stuff. At some point we caught up with
gotmilkbl and tried to find pizza, which of course didn’t happen since everywhere on the peninsula closes at NINE PM. argh. We ended up having Mimi’s Cafe, which was pretty good, but due to the whole stomach thing I really only had like half a muffin and half a bowl of soup.
David followed me home, and we stayed up till like 3am watching episodes of Space Ghost and the Tenacious D show!
So today, I wake up, and rory brings in the mail, which includes my
Kayla22’s wonderful birthday gift of a beautiful necklace, her housekeys, and a really pretty card ^_______________^ Kayla I love you soooooo much, I cant wait to see you on the 30th ^^
LXG tonight!

ALSO: does anyone remember The Tommorow People? It was on nickelodeon in the mid 90’s and was awesome.

*huuuugs* Can’t wait to see you!
And in geek tests… does the higher number.. really win?
The Tomorrow People was one of my favourite shows as a kid. Remember the episode where those pink bubbles were taking over the planet by making this amazing fabric that everyone wanted. But when they wore it for too long, it would replace their normal skin and they became slaves to the pink bouncing bubbles?
That was awsome.
I also remember an episode where the bad guys brought Hitler back to life. Geez… how is it I remember these episodes so clearly….

wow, you totally win… ;_;

Higher number always means more awesomes, even in golf, despite popular opinion.
I really only remember the first bunch, what with the island, and the whole everyone being totally confused about everything, and the surrealness of it all. I really hope I can find episodes somewhere, it was a really neat concept for a show, and if I remember correctly, very well done too.

Wasn’t the tomorrow people like, english or something? Like in england. And they could TELEPORT! By thinking of the place they were in, and the place they wanted to be becoming one.

Thats the one. And it was like the Matrix where the minds of young people could be “saved” easier and turned into a Tomorrow Person with all those cool special powers.

It was on Nickelodeon in the early to mid ’80s, too. I wonder if it was the same program, or if it’s been re-made.
July 11th, 2003 at 17:59
there was a version made in the 70s, and then the nickelodeon version was a remake/continuation. I’ve only seen the 90s version though. ^^

oh puhlease…. here I am thinking you saw the original 70’s productions… guhhh.
90’s remake… yeash.
(love you! ^^)

62.52465% – Extreme Geek…
And No, i didn’t cheat on it.
Does this mean i win?
July 12th, 2003 at 04:42
wow! yeah, you absolutely win. I ought to not detest star trek so much and then retake it, thats where I’m losing out ><
July 12th, 2003 at 09:15
Actually, i’m not all that big on Star Trek. I think most of my points came from the computer stuff and RPG/gaming.
Wasn’t “Tomorrowland” a show by Sid and Marty Krofft?
July 12th, 2003 at 09:57
We’ll have a DS9 marathon when you get here. That should straighten you out.
July 12th, 2003 at 12:53
I wasn’t allowed to watch it when I was a kid…for some reason my parents thought the show was evil…then again these are the same parents that didn’t allow me to watch the smurfs because gargamel was a wizard >_<
July 13th, 2003 at 11:03
Tenacious D show rocks mightier than Zeus.
July 13th, 2003 at 18:59
I didn’t really cheat. I exaggerated when I checked that I speak Latin; in truth, I’m not nearly fluent in Latin.
I just didn’t think you actually *wanted* to win.
Anyhow, it’s a moot point. Someone has bested us both. Cheers.
